[[MORE]]This is gonna sound shocking from someone who’s a fan of Fernando Alonso, but I actually don’t hate Lewis Hamilton. Actually, he’s in the top 10 of my favorite drivers in F1 right now. Sometimes I hate how some Hamilton fans have ugly vendettas against guys like Alonso, Massa, Maldonado etc. and think that Lewis is a perfect god of racing, which he isn’t - his style of racing leads to mistakes and sometimes penalties that get him in trouble. But he’s still a top driver in the sport, and I don’t hate the man himself. Because even when you consider all his slip-ups, he’s still a really great guy and really should be considered more of a sporting hero - first driver of black heritage in F1, winner at Indianapolis, 2008 champion, on his way to being the winningest British driver ever.
So knowing that some people who should never be associated with the sport let alone be able to buy tickets to a race, showed up and were rude and nasty to Lewis Hamilton and made racial obscenities towards him, all because Ferrari didn’t win the race in Italy, this is total bullshit and should NEVER be tolerated in any sport, much less F1. And it’s not even the first thing like this has happened - in 2008, idiot “fans” came to pre-season testing in Barcelona painted in blackface because of the shit that went down at McLaren the year before when Alonso and Hamilton were teammates. That thankfully stopped when Bernie Ecclestone threatened to yank the Spanish GP from the calendar that year.
These “fans” of F1 that did this should never, ever be allowed back on a track again to “support” their team or driver with this sort of shit.

7 for 7!

Lewis Hamilton takes the win, and with it, the championship lead by two points. Still no repeat winners this season.

Also, wow, that was the wrong call from Ferrari to keep Alonso out on those old tyres.

Hey, I’ve been thinking…There have been a lot of criticism against Lewis Hamilton because of his “mad” driving style, which refers to his bold overtakes and (maybe sometimes stupid) hunches…But I can’t help thinking that when one of our greatest drivers Ayrton Senna was racing, there was a lot of criticism against him too, because of similar reasons. And well, we all know how far Senna came and how big he is. I’m not a big fan of Lewis, but he’s a really good driver and last year he stood for a lot of entertainment…

The greatest drivers (in my opinion) is they who dare to take chances.

What do you think guys?

I agree with this for the most part.

Senna and Schumacher did many unsporting things to win titles. Senna took Alain Prost out at the first turn at Suzuka to clinch a title, Michael Schumacher of course had his legendary “chop blocks”.

Now that said, Lewis Hamilton has yet to do anything like that to win a title, and I wouldn’t compare his run-ins with Felipe Massa to any of those moments that Senna or Schumi were involved in, but I wouldn’t put it past him to win a title after being involved in a collision with his nearest rival one day.

I actually like Lewis Hamilton, too. And Kamui Kobayashi - he’s another driver that takes a lot of risks, and if he got into a top ride, it’d be entertaining as hell to watch.

(The reliant robin joke is awesome.)

I love Bamber’s style. I forgot he was still doing these!
